Day 59

This is my friend Michael, he is an owl.

Day 58

A commission from Grace Hsu who would like a deer as a pet. I think deer would make good pets and if it turns out they didn't they've got lots of other uses so it doesn't really matter. I digress.

Day 55

Another one for Harry Atkinson, this time reflecting on the process of decision making. In case you don't 'get it' - it's meant to, like, represent how making a decision is like a maze, right? And there's like loads of different options you can choose from - 'cause there's like a shit-load of decisions in the world and you've got to choose one of them, but because there's a lot, it's like...difficult. Because this is a pretty complex idea, an owl has been used to make it more accessible.

Was that helpful? I'm pretty sure it will have been...

Day 54

Happy Birthday, Mum! x

You wanted something appropriate...

Day 52

Mum's Birthday on Tuesday - she's been saying that she wants to get back into doing some drawing for a while now, so I've made her a sketchbook - hopefully it'll hold together long enough to do some drawing in. As it's not her birthday until Tuesday she can't know, so shhhhhhhhhh. Bye.

She's also requested something for Tuesday so there'll be more mother-related things to come. I'm a pretty wicked son.

Day 51

Watched Teen Wolf this evening - it is a very good film, although anything with Michael J. Fox in makes me sad now.

I would also like to apologise for yesterday - it was late, I'd had a few too many glasses of wine and the subsequent image was about on a level similar to that of Ian, Melinda and Kate from Live From Studio 5 culminating their collective insight on current affairs, subtracting from this the distance across one of Kate's teeth (approx 3000mm), converting that into artistic talent and then applying it to a crusty hanky that's been living in your Dad's pocket for a few weeks with a cricket bat made of misery.

Day 48

Day 47

A commission today from my good friend Sarah, requesting a piece for her friend Kat's birthday. Apparently Kat likes monkeys and classical music. Here is a baboon that is meant to look like Beethoven. Happy Birthday, Kat!

Day 45

Today is Valentine's Day. It is also the first day of the Chinese New Year - the Year of the Tiger. This is a tiger wishing you, Louis Rossi, a happy Valentine's Day!

>>> HERE <<< is an excellent Valentine's video made by Nick Meadows. You should watch it and weep into your £1.50 bunch of carnations.

Day 43

It's my sister's birthday today! She requested 'parrots, an octopus, a duck-billed platypus and a PLANE'. She's 24. Happy Birthday Katie!

Day 42

Housing has taken over my mind.

Day 41

Found an old travel spirograph on a trip home recently. Turns out it's pretty difficult. I think I might buy a big one.

Here is a nice video, one day all computers will be able to do this.

Tuesday, 9 February 2010

Day 40

Had a bit of a trip to the Natural History Museum today. Learnt some stuff about photosynthesis, ate a pretty good sandwich and did some drawing.

Day 31

Here's a pretty exciting and competent drawing of a tortoise. He's merely a taster - you'll see.
