365 Days is now over! If you feel like keeping up-to-date with my goings on then feel free to head over to my new blog. Thanks for stopping by!

Day 273

This is the microwave in our studio space at Uni and the things that may be made within it.

Wednesday 29 September 2010

Day 272

Here's a snippet of something I'm working on. This is about 1/8 of the total trees in this picture. Stupid idea.

Tuesday 28 September 2010

Monday 27 September 2010

Day 270

This will be a thing soon. Some sort of zine-y type thing. You might be able to purchase it. Depends.

Excuse this horrible scan, it's really horrible.

First day back at school today! Very odd.

Saturday 25 September 2010

Day 267

Today, I transported my being back to Cheltenham again. This time, for good! I will very much miss the puppy - next time I see her she will be a normal, boring dog - but back to University on Monday. It's been a while.

Day 265

Day 265 - this means that there are only 100 days left! What? Shocking. Where the hell did this year go? Got to admit, I'm fairly surprised that this is still going. Not too shabby. Might sack it off in a couple of weeks.

This also means that I should probably start thinking about some sort of year-long project for next year. I'm open to suggestions so if you have any, please let me know. Perhaps I could start an alpaca farm...

Day 264

Today I have been throwing some shapes.

Ho ho ho.

Day 262

Finished off (I say finished - for now at least) the penguin background for my collaboration with the delightful Sandra Dieckmann.

Also we (I say 'we' - I can't really take much credit for it) now have a studio together on Society6 for this project. Go have a look at all of the animals so far - HERE. Let us know what you think of them so far!

In other news, effervescent orange drink and porridge cure all known ailments.

Saturday 18 September 2010

Day 261

I've been reading about fractals a lot recently. They are very interesting things. And some people produce some highly disgusting but slightly interesting, computer-generated images of them. I gave it a go. Highly disgusting. I quite like it...

Friday 17 September 2010

Day 260 and some very nice news.

I was going to tell you some news. Yes. Well - I won the student category of the Cheltenham Illustration Awards! Ridiculously chuffed - the awards were judged by Sara Fanelli, who is incredible, which is very, very nice. You can see my entry on my Flickr - HERE.

Very happy.

Thursday 16 September 2010

Day 259

Another one for the collaboration with Sandra Dieckmann. Not quite finished yet, need to sort out the background. For some reason this one's proved to be a little tricky (probably more down to my failures). T'is almost there.

Wednesday 15 September 2010

Day 258

Some sort of organic lump.

Tuesday 14 September 2010

Day 257

By-the-by - all of these pylons, industrial things and mountains should all, hopefully, be coming together soon (if you were wondering). I have plans. Zines, prints, BIG papercuts and BIG drawings. I'll get there. Eventually.

Monday 13 September 2010

Day 256

I got some very nice news today. I'll let you know asap.

Sunday 12 September 2010

Saturday 11 September 2010

Day 254

A post that isn't a puppy. How droll.

Friday 10 September 2010

Day 253

Dancing. Frisbee. Serious issues.

Thursday 9 September 2010

Day 252

So I'm back in Yorkshire again...for the last time this summer, I swear. Doing a bit of house/puppy/cat-sitting for the parents for a couple o' weeks. Going to be pretty quiet so hopefully (!!) I might be able to get some nice work done.

Here is the, now compulsory, picture of an animal for my return home.

I might have one of these 'facebook' parties that I'm always hearing about as I've got the house to myself. That would most certainly be 'word'.

Peace.

Wednesday 8 September 2010

Day 251

Here is a cake made for Fliss' birthday - it is meant to be an alpaca (going with the general theme...) but it does not look that much like one. Closer to a rabbit with a tight afro, really.

Tuesday 7 September 2010

Day 250

It is my good friend Fliss' birthday on Thursday (you can find her HERE and HERE) she is even more fond of alpacas than I am. This will be for her - he currently has no hairstyle as that is being left blank for our friends to create their own hairstyles which he can wear! Excellent.

I posted photos of my finished mixtape on flickr if you fancied having a look as well.

Monday 6 September 2010

Day 249

Part of this month's piece for the Mixtape Project.

It is a very powerful mix.

Sunday 5 September 2010

Day 248

Oh how I do love a good steelworks.

Day 247

Saturday 4 September 2010

Day 246

So I'm back in Cheltenham now. Going to be back in York again for 2 weeks in a week though, don't tell work. Managed to get some Sun Chasing in on the journey down - witnessed some very nice colours. Have a look at Jane's excellent blog for nicer photos of previous Sun Chasing. Might start some sort of Sun Chasing project/blog/flickr account soon.

Friday 3 September 2010

Day 245

This evening, myself and my good friend Jane attempted some sun-chasing. Of which we were fairly successful. We also found an interesting place with lots of ruined trees which, seemingly, was being transformed into some sort of confused duck-sanctuary.

Goodies:

Here's a photo of last week's sun-chasing (discovered on my phone) which was particularly dramatic - very nice.

I'd quite like to buy a good camera.

Wednesday 1 September 2010

Day 244

I love Richard Dawkins
